

Born from the dark womb of Los Angeles, the band IllumineNaughty was started in early 2005 by guitarist and vocalist David Cherubim, who is also the founder of the well-known Thelemic Order of the Golden Dawn and the Aleister Crowley Foundation, and a published writer, who has received international exposure via books, the internet and television. In November of 2005, the IllumineNaughty made its first public appearance and did its first interview in Los Angeles on Music Plus TV. In November of 2006, the band did its debut show in Los Angeles with three other bands opening for them. Since then the band has continued to perform at various venues in Los Angeles with other local bands opening for them, and they are busy composing and recording their own brand of music called Ritual Rock. They are quickly developing a large circle of fans, receiving international exposure through radio stations and club DJs throughout the world, and by their successful presence on MySpace and the web, also their live performance videos are getting aired on TV and the internet, and their music is included in the “Abbey of Thelema,” the first actual movie about the famous Golden Dawn magician Aleister Crowley.
The members of the band are David Cherubim (vocals and guitar), Matt Ompehda (drums), Elisabeth Night (keyboards), Kris Stone (guitar), Michael Vajra (bass) and Preston Gelberwolf (cello). Other notable musicians who were members of the IllumineNaughty in the past included the legendary Eva O (vocals) from the famous Los Angeles gothic punk band Christian Death. The IllumineNaughty integrates the sounds of rock, metal, gothic, punk, blues, folk, classical and eastern styles of music. They are an alternative band with a sound, image and performance like none other and yet their music can be identified with various genres. This popular band has their own impressive style of music, their own provocative image, a name and logo that catches everyone's attention, their own meaningful motto and message, and there own growing cult of supporters and fans.
